After dark planes landing with the moon setting on the Horizon of Queens. Sept 2004

Elmhurst moon light.

This is a typical landing pattern for La Guardia airport in Astoria.  Approaching planes are required to be at least 7 miles apart.  Some times we can see 7 of them in the sky at once from our apartment.  The view is about 50 miles
