The hotel was on a sandy beach. We also stayed at Vera and Mucio's apartment in Guarapari.
Their apartment is in the area at the end of this beach
The shore was rocky there but it still was used for swimming and wading. We were surprised that Brazilians go swimming at night too. We could hear the night party noise from Mucio's apartment

We also went to the beach at the Castelhanos Hotel, Brazil. That beach was a $20 cab ride down the coast. In 1993, it was a quiet area with few buildings. We remember one beautiful view there of shrimp boats coming in and the mountains on the sea shore. We unfortunately took no pictures at that beach
