Waimea Bay is one of the locations in Hawaii were wild surf is used by surfers during the winter months.  The ocean was not turbulent during our October visit

Customs are different in the Hawaii and islands with their Pacific heritage.  But still we were shocked to see a native casually showering the saltwater off in the nude
