The Entry way on the Dairy Farm

Most diary farms had an entry way.  A place to clean up after working in the dairy barn.  A place to change in to clothes without the barn odor.   Most dairy farm homes had such a place

On Sherri and Gary's Dairy it was also a place to store dirty boots.  It was a place to smoke without stinking up the house.  It was a place to drink beer and get out of the living areas in the winter months. It a way, it was a man cave of sorts

This was the favorite place for Emogene too.  She could sulk and be with her own thoughts and be away from the social converstaions of the rest of the family

The families guns were also stored in the entry.  It was the place that the pet Toby was allowed.  The dog was trained NOT to be in the house.  He would peak from the entry into the kitchen but that was as far as he would go
