Touring Rio de Janeiro with George.  Beaches, mountains, soccer stadium, food, Sugar Loaf and Corcovado, the Christ

A cloudy day and an early sunny then cloudy one.  4 beaches, Ipanema, Copacabana, Sugar Loaf beach, the Red Beach at Pão de Açúcar and one out of town

Two days one night in the marvelous city. Tour guided by our friends George and Toninho

We arrived in Rio at 7 am Wednesday after leaving Belo Horizonte at 11:30 pm on Tuesday July 18.  Our trip was by overnight Luxury Coach, a bus with roomy 3 across seating, fully reclining seats and leg rests.  Blankets and water were supplied.  The round trip was about R$ 340, US$ 105 in dollars.  Seats were reserved and we sat together in the less rollicky lower level

Sharon, and to a lesser extent, Debbie and Helton were suffering from digestive issues since before leaving Belo.  The bus ride and the Rio stay and return were a bit uncomfortable for them.

Toninho picked up at the bus station and showed us Ipanema in route to the Vera's apartment. George toured us the rest of the time.  Tony delivered us back to the bus 

We saw so much in so little time; the beaches, speeding through under mountain tunnels and seeing the sites.

Rio is the most beautiful city in the World
