The Rio de Janeiro morning greeted us with a manual laborer pulling concrete on the street
We were a little surprized to see this man pulling hundreds of pounds of construction material by hand

Labor is cheap in Brazil because of the high level of poverty
Things were apparently better than when we were in Brasil in 1986, 1993 and 1996 but the poor still labor
