Stay in Manhattan
The stayed for three or four days so it was a quick trip. They picked a hotel in Manhattan, with a name I cannot remember. The hotel was built over an existing structure without changing the original. The hotel was in the middle of the theatre district and not far from Radio City Music Hall
Theatre
It was Christmas time in New York, the busiest theatre time in the Big Apple. We managed to get tickets for Les Misables and the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Both Dennis and Gloria cried at Les Miz because of its artistry.
Touring
Dennis showed them around Manhattan. We got to view New York Harbor but could not ride the Staten Island Ferry because of mobility issues - the elevators were broke. We stopped at the iconic Moondance Diner in Soho (used in the Spiderman movie). The diner was a traditional railroad passenger car shaped style. The diner closed in 2012
Visiting Helton and Dennis in Queens
The trip was short but the tourists had time to visit our apartment in Elmhurst Queens for a cocktail. We took the guests to the Green Fields Churrascaria restaurant on Northern Boulevard in Astoria. We all had a bunch of Caipirinhas and lots of food. It did not set well with Eric, he got violently ill after we drove the guests back to Manhattan
