Marco adored his mother.  Dona Norma was invited to visit New York in 2001.  Marco was not in good health.  He had recently left a hospital stay with heart disease and other issues.  He did not want his mother to know

Janine, Helton and Dennis joined Marco and his mother for lunch and brunch on a wonderful June day in 2001

We address Marco's mother as Dona Norma - an honorific of respect in Brazil and in Portuguese. She is a wonderful lady and our friend

We wanted to go to IHop which is across the street from the diner on 73rd Street in Jackson Heights, but it was too crowded

Marco visited Brazil and his mother in March of 2002 but he died while he was there
