Janine's New York apartment on 239 East 73rd Street at 2nd Avenue in 2003

Janine Vitale Lucas was an immigrant from Brazil.  She was in the USA for over 40 years but decided to move back to Brazil

The apartment is a walk up and Janine lived on the 2nd floor

Panorama looking west toward the Hudson River and New Jersey on East 73rd Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue.  This residential area is a prime East Side location.  There are restaurant galore on 2nd Avenue but grocery shopping is limited to small, expensive, groceries and dellies.

Taken with a Ricoh RDC05300 digital camera. The camera resolution technology was more limited in 2003 but this was one of the best point and shoot cameras I have owned.  The lens was glass.  The zoom mechanism and battery gave out so I had to replace it
