Dennis Knuth getting busy planting his Straw Bale Garden

Venturing out to enjoy the springtime after over 60 days of self isolation

Gilo is a variety of Egg Plant, popular in Brazil but originally imported from Africa.  We are hoping for a yield of the delicious, somewhat bitter, fruit.  The plant hates the cold, it will not generate below 60 degrees and it needs temperature above 70 degrees to mature.  We have our fingers crossed, after all this is Wisconsin and we need luck to get the right weather

We got all our pants from Mary's and Amish Greenhouse near Durand Wisconsin

The parking sign was treasured by our Mother Emogene at her parking place in Eau Claire.  She passed on St. Patrick's Day 2017
