Dennis, the English speaking American guest, was treated as a celebrity.  Children followed Dennis around the reception, just to hear him speak English.

Vicentina was the mother of the bride.  She was well known as a caterer to the international community in Belo Hoizonte Brazil and her staff managed a formal reception in the city.  The marriage was a prominent event for Belo Horizonte
