Snowy Day in Wisconsin on New Years Day 2000 in Augusta. The new century greeted Wisconsin with 12 inches of snow in northern Wisconsin.  We were driving from Milwaukee via Eau Claire and Augusta.  The snow turned to stormy rain, wind and thunder at Black River Falls  We drove in it all the way to Milwaukee.  It was a white knuckle drive.  Sometimes the visibility was near zero in both the snow and the rain
