The bookcase in the living room is a carry over from the fire at our Elmhurst Apartment
The bookcase was structurally intact but it was sooted and tarred beyond recognition
The bookcase can never be moved again. It will fall apart. It is too fragile after the reconstruction

It took hours and days to clean the bookcase up. It was from Ikea - moving it would have destroyed it. The book case stayed as the apartment was restored but it was unstable and touchy after the restoration
