New York City is not known for its great beaches but it should be
Durand tourists enjoy a beach of late summer solitude. Riis park is part of the National Park system and well kept and clean. The beach is empty, the water warm in September. Dennis loved to go to the beach when it was quiet and you could too.
The Atlantic Ocean temperatures are "swimmable" well into October every year
