The Battery Garden restaurant is a fine respite from the hectic pace of New York City and touring the sites.

The online reviews for the Battery Garden beer garden sometimes are confusing between the casual serve yourself outdoor garden and the more upscale sit-down table waiter service restaurant.  We found the outdoor garden to be inexpensive, by New York standards, and pleasant.  A pint of beer is just $5 and $7 for a 16 ounce canned craft beer.  See the Battery Gardens beer garden Menu Page review for the Battery Gardens beer garden in Battery Park.  The outdoor restaurant is just a few steps from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal

We recommend a stop here even for lower Manhattan locals and Financial District workers
