The menu prices are fair, even economical, for the Financial District in Manhattan.  The Beer Garden is just a few steps from the Staten Island Ferry.  A good restaurant for after work or those with tired feet from all the touring

The online reviews for the Battery Garden beer garden sometimes are confusing between the casual serve yourself outdoor garden and the more upscale sit-down table waiter service restaurant.  We found the outdoor garden to be inexpensive, by New York standards, and pleasant.  A pint of beer is just $5 and $7 for a 16 ounce canned craft beer.  The smoked Bratwurst on a pretzel bun with beer glazed onions at $6 is excellent.  Other menu items are moderately priced
